Small Flash / Indexhibit update
This is just a small update to the sources of our Flash / Indexhibit example we posted earlier.
I added a FLA file for all of you that never used the Flex-compiler before :)
Just download the sources and open the ndxz.fla in (at least) Flash CS3. Hit cmd-return and enjoy.

When I have the time, I still want to build another very simple example that only uses assets from the library so that you can just change colors and forms on the timeline and re-compile the whole project with some great new looks.
Have fun. Cheers

Hi. Will you be uploading the simpler flash version, for those not used to flex. Would be fantastic. Thanks for the great work!!
hi sarah.
i’m a bit busy right now, so the other example could still take a while … sorry for this :(
but still hoping to finish it this week. fingers crossed.

That would be great Phil !
I’m still trying to figure out how to implant or export the .fla file so I can upload it to my site and get it to work online… Anyway, great work so far! I’ll wait patiently for the other example!

This is really great! How can I change it’s sources so it runs on my own website with my own content?
hi marnick. we posted another (somewhat easier) example here: http://apdevblog.com/super-simple-flash-example-of-the-indexhibit-frontend/
There’s also a short description what you need to do to get the example running on your own webserver.
hope this helps – if not, post another comment and we’ll try and help…

Hey Folks, well done!
how about Videos? Is ist possible also with Quicktime Movies?
Thanks so much!
Matt
hi mattes.
does indexhibit support videos?! i think they just allow you to use youtube video or vimeo but you can’t upload videos yourself.
i can take a look at youtube/vimeo integration if that’s what you’re after?
cheers
Hiya there!
I really appreciate you posting something so helpful as this. I really love the design you made for this flash frontend for indexhibit. I know that you’ve made some updates on this and have redesigned it so that it’s much more “simpler”.
Though, I only know how to do HTML, and am wondering how I could use this particular flash frontend for my website right now? I downloaded your sources here and tried posting them up on the site I’m working on… but it’s not showing up.
I appreciate any help you can offer. Too bad, just wish I knew how to program better!
